Void is a conceptual immersive black hole exhibition bringing you as close as possible to an out of this world experience and going beyond the borders of our reality.
Strategy & Design
The aim of this project was to create an immersive and engaging user experience for a black hole exhibition concept. Where the audience gets to wander into the void, explore the scientific theories and science fiction wonders. This was achieved through the use of augmented reality technology, allowing the user to become part of the whole experience through the use of an AR mobile application, fully immersing them into the design. Mixing this with a bold sci-fi inspired brand identity, branching across print, digital, wayfinding and motion design, the aim was to catapult the user into a world beyond our reality.

A black hole is a region of spacetime where gravity is so strong that nothing, no particles or even electromagnetic radiation such as light can escape from it. Vantablack paint absorbs 99.6% of light, this paint was used within the exhibition to create a walkthrough void experience where the audience, with the addition of sound-cancelling headphones, could get as close as possible to what it could be like to stand inside a black hole. For the printed media, this paint was used to print the logo marques creating a void on the surface of the booklets, a 'black hole' that you can hold in the palm of your hand.
